Family Syllabus: This loving and caring family in Beverly Hills is looking for a long-term nanny to care for their toddler son and their newborn daughter! The family lives a healthy lifestyle, and their son is happy and showing great signs of intelligence. He loves to ride his tricycle in their cul-de-sac, playing at the park, building things, and creating art! He has budding independence, and the parents would love a nanny who will proactively help him explore and learn about the world around him. The parents are focused on giving their son the experiences and resources he needs to discover who he is and what he loves. Their son was recently diagnosed with a speech delay and is attending speech therapy. Their sweet newborn daughter is smiley and enjoys watching her brother play. Both parents work from inside the home, but they are not micro-managers – they want to find a nanny who has the experience and confidence to be respectful of their parenting philosophy and goals, but is able to lead on their own. While there may be light household work during naps (ex., dishes, laundry), they have a house cleaner who will handle the deep cleaning… so your focus can be on their children! They also have two very sweet and well-trained dogs, so please love dogs!!

The ideal candidate is very experienced, intelligent, fosters and engages curiosity, is educated, and has a love of learning. These parents can’t wait to find a team player who can become a “member” of the family for many years. They would like someone warm, proactive, and engaging who will proactively narrate and foster learning through play and exploration, exposing their children to many activities as they learn what their interests are. This family practices gentle parenting with clear and firm boundaries around safety. They would like a nanny who will use connection first, discussing feelings, choices, and time in. A nanny who can properly read a room and knows when to step in and step out with the family would be a great fit. The family is mainly focused on a nanny with a college degree but is open to those without, as long as they have a significant amount of experience and have the qualities listed above, as they want a true advocate who can teach their children new things. They have a swimming pool in the backyard, so a nanny who enjoys swimming and is confident swimming with the children is a must.
Job Synopsis: Spend your days engaging the curiosity and learning of these sweet children and their development! Your priority and focus will be on their children, with only household help when their children are napping. The schedule for this position is still being discussed. They will have 2 longer days and 3 shorter days, Monday – Friday between 8 am – 8 pm with a guarantee of 40 hours per week. They would like a nanny with the flexibility to come in earlier or stay later and to work some Saturdays if needed and who is open to overtime. This role pays $40-45/hour gross plus overtime, two weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, and paid sick time. This family travels ~3 weeks a year and would ideally want a nanny who can travel with them for some or all of it. While you will mostly use the parents’ cars for transporting the children, please have a clean, safe, reliable vehicle to transport the child if ever needed; you will be reimbursed for mileage.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who is up to date on the MMR and TDAP vaccines.
