Description

Local family seeks a trustworthy, dependable and skilled live-in or live-out housekeeper to join their team and take care of their home in Palm Beach, Florida.  The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, professional and comfortable working with and around children and pets (dogs). Verifiable references required. Ideal candidate would be willing to travel for approximately 6 weeks over the summer with the family. 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Extensive housekeeping and thorough and detailed cleaning including delicate surfaces and materials to the highest standard
• Cleaning of sofas, chairs, rugs, floors, etc.
• Change bed linen and towels, make beds, replenish necessities
• Family laundry and liaising with dry cleaner
• Meticulous and careful ironing
• Deep cleaning when the family is traveling
• Occasional food preparation (for children's snacks, lunch and/or dinner)
• Tidying up, organizing pantries and cabinets
• Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning projects
• Keeping all floors, appliances and surfaces clean and tidy at all times
• Assist with packing and unpacking the family’s and guests luggage as needed
• Occasional oversight of children (age 8)

Requirements:

• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role in a private household or 5-star hotel
• Impeccable references
• Local candidates preferred 
• Highly skilled and experienced in all areas of housekeeping and laundry to a very high standard
• Meticulous person with attention to detail
• Open-minded team player and hands-on person
• Valid driver’s license and ability to shop for groceries and other household necessities
• Person who takes pride in their job
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly flexible and adaptable to last minute changes 
• Able to keep themselves busy and see what has to be done
