Household:

• Wonderful first time parents in Orinda are seeking a nurturing, calm-natured nanny to care for their 5 month old baby, starting as soon as possible. 
• They would love to work with someone long-term who can grow with their family.
• Their home is peaceful, with a friendly dog, and both parents mostly work from home in separate workspaces.
• They are seeking care Monday to Friday 7:30/8:00 am to 3:30/4:00 pm. 40 hours per week. 
• The family values a gentle, child-focused approach, combining routine with responsiveness to the baby's cues.
• They have a quieter home, with both parents leaning on the calmer side.

• Knowledgeable about infant and toddler milestones, incorporating developmentally appropriate activities.
• A team player who is patient, flexible, and collaborative, working closely with parents to ensure the best care for the baby, proactively offering thoughtful suggestions and advice, and seeking input from parents on scheduling, activities, and care decisions, while being adaptable and open to adjusting routines and plans as needed.

Duties:

• All childcare related duties such as baby’s laundry and dishes, bottle preparation and cleaning, meal/snack preparation and introduction to solids as baby gets older, keeping inventory of the baby’s items like diapers and wipes, light tidying up/organizing related to the baby/baby’s room and play areas.
• Assisting with baby’s sleep and feeding routine, engage in age-appropriate play to stimulate development, and manage the child’s daily schedule.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of paid, professional childcare experience that occurred over the age of 18 (not for family or friends) with excellent references
• Recent infant care experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a strong driving record.
• Current on all vaccines including the Tdap, flu, MMR, Covid vaccines, etc. 
• Legal work authorization in the U.S.
• Can make at least a one-year commitment.
