Our returning clients are relocating from London to Washington DC.
We are on the hunt for a professional housekeeper to join their team, working closely with other staff to ensure the household runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a private household and a background working in 5 star hotels would be advantageous. Working within a family environment, it is important that you have a kind, positive outlook, are adaptable to the ebb and flow of family life, and enjoy being an integral part of a close knit team.
Experience across the usual range of housekeeping duties including: laundry & wardrobe management, household cleaning and inventory management, organisational tasks and front of house service.
The role can be live in or live out, with accommodation provided via a separate entrance.
This is a wonderful family to work for, they are kind, respectful employers whose staff remain with them long term. They have 3 young children and a small dog who is very much part of the family.
There may be some travel required to properties in the US and Europe.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day to day housekeeping
- Laundry and ironing
- Assisting with front of house service when entertaining
- Keeping on top of household supplies, liaising with the team to ensure stocks are replenished
- Ad hoc errands
Requirements:
- Right to work in the US
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within private households.
- Strong references from previous employers, background check or willingness to undergo one a must
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Discreet, loyal and flexible
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform high-quality cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Valid driver’s licence
Start date: ASAP
Accommodation: separate entrance, ensuite bedroom with own living space
Salary: circa $100,000 gpa
