Nanny (Live in) – Castle at Lake Constance, Germany

A VIP family is looking for a Nanny (native proficiency in English or German, additional languages like Spanish, French or Italian welcome) to look after their four children (aged 11, 9, 5, and 4 years old).

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive childcare for 4 children (11-year-old boy, 9-year-old girl, 5-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl).
• Create and implement engaging and educational activities, including arranging and hosting play dates, outdoor playing, pool and garden activities, arts and crafts, reading and other
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the children at all times
• Collaborate with other staff members (team of 20 to 25 people), including nannies, butlers, drivers, chefs and housekeepers
• Occasionally assist with children’s meal preparation and feeding
• Maintain the families’ schedule and routines for the children
• Accompany children to appointments, extracurricular activities and excursions as required
• Support children with homework and educational activities
• Foster positive relationships with children and act as a role model
• Communicate effectively with the parents regarding children’s development and daily activities
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of children’s spaces, including bedrooms and playing areas
• Handle minor household tasks related to childcare, such as laundry, bedroom organisation and tidying up toys
• Adhere to any additional duties or instructions provided by the family, manager or head nanny

Requirements:

• Prior experience in childcare – kindergarten, nanny, teacher, etc.
• Excellent references demonstrating reliability, trustworthiness and a positive attitude
• Native proficiency in English or German, additional languages like Spanish, French or Italian welcome
• Ability to work collaboratively within a large household team, but also willing to work independently and make decisions when needed
• Flexibility to work as required – 5 days on, 2 days off, work during evening hours and on weekends if needed
• Open to accompany the family abroad
• Strong organizational skills
• CPR and first aid certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and confident driving skills preferred, but not mandatory
• Work permit for Germany (we assist with receiving a valid work permit and communication with official authorities)
