Private Family Seeking Compassionate Skilled CMA, LVN, or CNA to Provide In-Home Care for Active 94-year-old Dad
Our family understands the value that an incredible nurse can bring to a person’s life; which is why we’re hoping to find a compassionate, skilled CMA, LVN, or CNA to join our dad’s team of caregivers. This person will provide a positive, safe, and healthy environment through a combination of direct patient care and administrative support. Our ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience in nursing, possess a current CMA, LVN, or CNA license, and have a positive attitude.
We want you to have the flexibility to spend nights and weekends with your loved ones. The schedule for this position is 6am-6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Position Summary
The Caregiver and Team Lead is a full-time medical position responsible for providing a positive, safe, and healthy environment for a single client. The Caregiver and Home Coordinator must provide direct patient care as well as administrative support in the form of scheduling and household coordination. Must have experience as a medical assistant (CMA, LVN or CNA) with impeccable communication skills, computer skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to problem solve.
Medical Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for the client by making skilled nursing assessments, administering medication properly, checking vital signs, and assisting him with activities of daily living; Drive him to appointments and social activities.
- Assist with personal care to maintain good hygiene including bathroom functions, showering, grooming, and dressing; Assist with ambulation and exercise as needed.
- Regularly monitor and record blood pressure readings and maintain detailed records on daily activities, changes in health, behavior, or needs.
- Fill medication boxes and manage medication inventory to ensure prescriptions are always refilled; Pick up new and urgent medications from the pharmacy as needed.
- Schedule doctor appointments.
Coordination Responsibilities
- Perform very light housekeeping duties as needed, plate and serve prepared meals, and run occasional errands.
- Coordinate weekly with the client and family to create an organized weekly schedules.
- Order groceries and household supplies once a week.
- Attend weekly 1X1 calls.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Medical Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Certified Nurse Assistant with 5+ years of experience, preferably in elder home care.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead and anticipate changing needs.
- Keen attention to detail, honesty, dependability, and a willingness to be hands-on.
- Technically savvy with texting, email, calendaring, word processing, and internet research, and shopping.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting. Moderate desktop computer work.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to navigate using apps.
- Ability to maintain a high level of strict confidentiality and professionalism.
