Location: Central Montana
Schedule: Full-time, live-in (flexible: open to 7-on/7-off or 14-on/14-off) – 40 to 45 hours guaranteed per week over the course of 7 days
Compensation: $40-50/hour DOE + full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k match) + housing + vehicle provided for work-related use
A devoted and family-oriented household is seeking a compassionate, experienced live-in caregiver to support a lovely 74-year-old woman living with advanced multiple sclerosis. Despite her physical limitations, she is mentally sharp, cheerful, and enjoys spending time on her iPad, playing games, and watching TV. The ideal candidate will be warm, engaging, capable, and confident managing daily hygiene, mobility support, and meal prep in a quiet and beautiful ranch setting. The family will provide a fully furnished two-bedroom cabin on the ranch to be shared by the caregiver and client. The client’s husband lives in another home on the ranch and is actively involved, supportive, and hands-on. This is a warm, team-oriented environment where everyone works together and chips in wherever needed. Lovely opportunity!
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily assistance with:
- Transfers using lift (bed to chair, chair to bed)
- Personal hygiene and bathing
- Hygiene assistance related to incontinence
- Monitoring catheter and reporting any concerns
- Administering medications
- Preparing and serving meals or snacks as needed
- Provide companionship and be a caring presence
- Ensure safety and comfort in all routines
- Driving to occasional errands or appointments as needed (vehicle provided)
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Prior experience caring for clients with MS or similar mobility challenges and/or Licensed caregiver, CNA, LVN, or equivalent medical background
- Strong emotional intelligence and a calm, patient presence
- Ability to work independently in a rural setting
- Comfort living with the client in a shared cabin (private bedroom)
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to pitch in as part of a team
