About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Personal Shopping Consultant to assist a family rebuilding their lives after losing everything in the recent California wildfires. This role involves curating and procuring clothing, baby items, home furnishings, and jewelry tailored to the family’s unique needs and preferences.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned personal shopper with expertise across a variety of categories, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a sensitive and emotional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the family to understand their specific needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
  • Research and procure high-quality items, including:
    • Clothing for all ages and genders
    • Baby essentials (nursery furnishings, clothing, accessories)
    • Home furnishings and décor
    • Jewelry and personal accessories
  • Create and manage a shopping list within a designated budget, ensuring thoughtful recommendations.
  • Coordinate and oversee delivery and installation of purchased items as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with local and national retailers, ensuring access to high-quality and in-stock items.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the family and address any additional needs or requests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in personal shopping or styling, with expertise across clothing, furnishings, baby items, and jewelry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets and prioritize tasks.
  • Empathy, discretion, and the ability to work sensitively with families facing challenging circumstances.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with high-quality brands, boutique retailers, and custom sourcing.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedules and shopping plans based on evolving needs.
  • Based in or near San Diego, CA to manage local delivery and installation needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with families or in high-pressure, personalized service environments.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and ethical brands is a plus.

Compensation:

Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and is commensurate with experience.
