A fun, professional family in Fenton, Michigan, is seeking a top-notch live-in or live-out career nanny for their 4 children, aged 6, 4.5, 3 and 1-year-old. The schedule will be 42-45 hours per week, typically falling as follows: Tuesdays from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesdays from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Thursdays from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Fridays from 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturdays from 7:00am-7:00pm. Candidates will tag-team with the family’s existing nanny, who has been with them since their youngest child was 7-months-old.
Candidates should love what they do, as well as be dynamic, capable, proactive, articulate, poised, presentable and professional. A background or education in ECE, Child Development, or other relevant field is preferred, as well as a solid understanding of developmental milestones and specific experience with this age group. Though mom does not work, candidates should be dynamic, competent, and comfortable working in an autonomous capacity. Candidates will travel with the family on long weekends or family vacations for 10 or more days (e.g. they have a property in CA that they travel to frequently and travel by private charter to various other international locations), so you must be passport ready.
Candidates must have a clean and current driving record (for the purpose of dropping the children at school and activities) and be confident swimmers. There is a family dog so the candidate must be pet friendly. Though this is a fully staffed household and there is a chef, candidates should be comfortable and willing to pitch-in with food prep if it’s ever required, as well as throw a wash on if the housekeeper is out sick, etc. More than anything, candidates must be team-players, with a pitch-in, positive demeanor.
