Full-Time Live-Out Nanny/Mother’s Helper for family with young toddler in Aspen, CO. This position is currently caring for one child but more children may be included at a future date. This position is well suited for a Nanny/Mother’s Helper who prefers to work with a growing family and enjoys being active, traveling, and can be flexible re: schedule. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who is equally as comfortable working autonomously as he/she is taking direction from parents. Family would love to find a Nanny/Mother’s Helper who wants to grow with them for many years to come as their needs and this position involve over time. Please note: This is a hybrid role, and Employee must be comfortable with household tasks and cleaning in addition to childcare responsibilities.
Duties include the following:
• Provide care, supervision and safety of the child above all other responsibilities.
• Tend to the child’s basic needs such as bathing, dressing, changing diapers, meals, brushing teeth, and naps/bedtime.
• Use Employee’s automobile to drive child to activities and events. Employer will provide child’s car seat. Employee to maintain valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Arrange, supervise and participate in daily activities with the child, which include games, walks, play-dates, playground visits, educational outings, classes and reading.
• Proactively research, plan and take child to activities (e.g. outings, classes, playgroups, play-dates, organized activities) that have child development, social relationship skills and educational value, as agreed with Employer.
• Maintain updated First Aid and CPR certification. Employer to reimburse Employee for recertification classes as needed.
• Keep home straightened and organized, including washing dishes, loading/unloading dishwasher, taking out garbage, etc.
• Family laundry, including washing, folding and putting away clothes.
• Family grocery, general shopping and other errands (e.g. dry cleaning, post office, etc.), as requested by Employer.
• Purchasing clothing, gifts, etc., as requested by Employer.
• Assist with light family cooking (e.g. preparing fresh fruit, salads, etc.) if needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE:
• Experience with a young, growing family and child of all ages
• CPR/Medical training is a MUST (can be provided upon hire, expected to be maintained upon hire)
• Valid Driver’s License required, and own vehicle is preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong ability to work as a team while maintaining autonomy and self-starter attitude
• Respect, kindness, adaptability, problem solving mentality and knowledge of self
• Discretion is a critical component of role and must be maintained at all times
• Strong preference for bilingual applicants, although not required
COMPENSATION AND TERMS:
- Expected to work 40 hours per week; exact schedule and days/hours will be determined by Employer but will require weekend availability
- Ability to travel and flexibility in schedule; advance notice will be provided, and Nanny/Mother’s Helper is not expected to always accompany on trips, but flexibility to travel is a must
- Transportation, meals, and accommodations are provided during travel
- Additional compensation provided for travel
