Our client located in Isle of Palms, South Carolina is seeking an experienced and dedicated part time Nanny. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing care and support primarily to their 10-year-old son, who is high functioning autistic and has ADHD. They also have a 12 year old daughter and a teacup poodle. No pet care needed. Desired Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Picking up son from school
- Preparing meals for son according to dietary preferences
- Assisting with his schoolwork and extracurricular activities, such as guitar practice
- Engaging with him in activities during free time
- Managing light household tasks including laundry, dishes, and tidying up
- Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for him at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with special needs, preferably autism experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with therapists and parents
- Patient, calm demeanor with a positive attitude
- Commitment to long-term employment and willingness to follow established routines and plans
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work additional hours as needed
- Experience in teaching or caregiving roles is preferred
- Ability to maintain open communication and address concerns promptly

Required Qualifications:
Age:
Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
Experience:
Related work experience is required along with verifiable references. Candidates may have a broad range of experience, but it MUST pertain to the position you are applying for. We require at least 2-3 verifiable references. Letters of recommendation from previous employers are preferred.
Driving Record:
A driver’s license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement.
Criminal Background:
A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement.
Residency Requirement:
All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien.
Commitment:
Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
