Estate Manager (Beverly Hills & Palm Springs)

| Beverly Hills, CA, United States

Posted Date 4/25/2024
Description

Our Clients, a busy bi-coastal executive couple (one of whom primarily works from home), are seeking a highly experienced hands-on Estate Manager to manage and oversee their Beverly Hills and Palm Springs residences to ensure they are run at the highest level and turn-key ready at all times.  The EM will work closely with the Principals' EA/PA, Chief of Staff, Travel Assistant and other key office personnel.  The Estate Manager will report directly to the Principals and Chief of Staff and supervise and manage a myriad of contractors and vendors.  Housekeeping is contracted out so other than the TA, there are no actual on-staff employees to manage at this time.  The buildings and grounds in both locations require continuous maintenance and improvement.

The ideal candidate will understand 5-star-level service (the difference between the Waldorf-Astoria and Hilton Garden Inn), be anticipatory, have a keen eye for detail and be smart with a high degree of common sense and possess a "no job too big or too small" mentality.  The kind of EM the Clients are seeking is one who can change out light bulbs themself and has the wherewithal to troubleshoot issues themself before calling in an outside vendor.  The EM must be highly technically inclined to not only be able to use current smart house technology but ever-emerging new technology as well.  The EM should be able to set up a new television right out of the box complete with programming all available streaming services and spend the Principals’ money as carefully as the EM would spend their own. Candidates must have proven experience managing estate-level properties and demonstrate professional competence in communication with staff and various vendors and contractors, management of costs, as well as a commitment to confidentiality and privacy of family members/guests.  Degree or equivalent professional qualification.  Excellent written and verbal English skills required (Spanish language skills a plus) excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with project management software (like Asana), basic accounting packages to record, monitor and analyze expenditures. Valid driver’s license; unrestricted permission to work in the United States; and ability to pass comprehensive background and reference checks are required as well as a willingness to work flexible hours, although the general work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  This is an on-site (non-hybrid) role.  Gross base salary is $125-160k DOE and a full benefits package including 401k.  Only local LA-area candidates with local references will be considered.  (There is no relocation.) Separate off-site housing is provided when the Estate Manager is working in Palm Springs.

For immediate consideration, please email your updated resume in Word (not PDF) with "reason for leaving" in italics under each position to chris@christopherbakerstaffing.com.
