Full-Time Nanny (Live-In – Housing Provided)

| Arlington, VA, United States

Posted Date 5/25/2025
Description

We’re a warm, energetic family of six looking for a full-time, live-in nanny to become a long-term and steady presence in our children’s lives. Our four children (ages 3, 6, 7, and 9) are bright, funny, and full of personality—and each has unique needs, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.

We are a high-net-worth family led by a busy founder/CEO mom who is both deeply engaged at home and managing a fast-paced career. With multiple children who are neurodivergent, our home is high-energy and full of love—but also requires a caregiver who can remain calm and composed in moments of dysregulation (screaming, emotional meltdowns). This role is not about physical aggression or unsafe behaviors, but it does require someone with true experience working in special needs households.

This is not an entry-level nanny position—it’s a professional caregiving role with meaningful impact and strong support.

About the Role

This is a live-in, long-term position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The schedule requires weekday flexibility, with working hours falling anytime between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, depending on the needs of the family.

Some weeks may follow a split schedule (morning and late afternoon/evening), while others may have more continuous daytime hours. We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, communicative, and comfortable with a dynamic weekday routine.

You’ll be part of a collaborative childcare team, working alongside a live-in au pair and a long-standing local babysitter. Both parents are very involved, but with four young children and overlapping special needs, we deeply value having a patient, emotionally grounded adult in the home.

We are ready to hire immediately for the right person, but also willing to wait for a great fit—so if you’re finishing a contract in late summer or fall, we’d still love to hear from you.

We believe in a paid trial experience as part of the process to ensure mutual fit and long-term success.

Travel

We regularly spend time at our vacation home in Bethany Beach, Delaware, where you’ll have your own private bedroom and en suite bathroom in beautiful accommodations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Required: Direct experience with children with special needs (autism, ADHD, dyslexia)

  • Calm, emotionally steady, and confident navigating high-energy environments

  • Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative—comfortable in a fast-moving household with multiple adults involved

  • Looking for a multi-year commitment

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to be paid via payroll

  • Open to out-of-state applicants—we offer relocation assistance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Private housing in a newly constructed ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) on our property

  • Generous PTO and paid holidays

  • Highly competitive pay that reflects the complexity and demands of the role

  • Relocation assistance available if needed

If you’ve been looking for a meaningful, long-term role in a household that values both professionalism and heart, you may be exactly who we’re looking for. We’d love to hear from you.
