PERSONAL BODYGUARD/SECURITY

Position: Personal Bodyguard / Security Detail
Location: Los Angeles-based with regular travel to Miami 
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 8–10 hours/day (Likely off Monday & Tuesday)
Compensation: $35–$50/hr + OT (DOE) | 1099 Contract

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable and physically imposing Personal Bodyguard to provide close protection and security for a high-profile client. The ideal candidate will be based in Los Angeles but available for travel, including to Miami. This role focuses primarily on personal security while the client is out in public. A calm, professional presence and the ability to confidently control public environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the client’s safety and privacy in public and semi-public settings (events, restaurants, etc.)

• Safely and respectfully move individuals aside to maintain personal space around the client

• Drive the client to and from appointments, events, and travel destinations as needed

• Travel with the client; short- and long-term housing can be arranged if required

• Act as a visible deterrent and manage crowd control discreetly and professionally

• Maintain vigilance and awareness of surroundings at all times

• Collaborate with client’s team and follow directions from the security coordinator

Requirements:

• Candidates must present a physically commanding presence

• Prior experience in personal security, executive protection, or similar roles

• Calm and composed under pressure; excellent judgment in dynamic public settings

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• No firearms license required; but preferred 

• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including extended stays

• Professional appearance and demeanor; absolute discretion is a must

Additional Information:

This is a 1099 contract position, with opportunities for extended engagement based on performance. Housing arrangements may be provided when traveling. Seeking candidates who are both protective and discreet, able to manage complex public environments while allowing the client to enjoy events, travel, and social engagements without disruption.
