Job Description
A private family seeks to hire an experienced Private Chef to prepare daily meals for a family of three (3). The ideal candidate will be extremely flexible with the mindset of providing world-class service. Must have excellent longevity in previous positions and will be seasoned in creating a variety of cuisines. Someone eager to work, good attitude, kind, and pleasant to be around would be ideal for this family. Must be able to provide support in the Kings Point, NY Residence as well as the NYC Residence. Someone that can drive is ideal. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Creating daily healthy and fresh meals for the family; organic & seasonal
- Weekly menu planning that meets the principal's dietary needs and restrictions
- Daily preparation for lunch and dinner
- Procuring all kitchen supplies, including groceries and any other item as needed, maintaining detailed inventory lists
- Sanitation and organization of the kitchen (refrigerator, pantries, drawers, etc.), including post-event clean up
- Formal table setting and white-glove service
- Coordinating with additional household staff
- Conducting inventory and procuring supplies
- Maintain record of favorite meals and recipes
- Responding to special requests, errands, and related duties as needed
- Knowledge of Persian cuisine is a huge plus!
Schedule: Must be able to work between Kings Point and NYC Residence
- Core schedule for 17 weeks of summer (Memorial Day – Labor Day):
- Wednesday through Sunday; off Monday and Tuesday
- Core schedule for remaining 35 weeks of the year:
- Saturday through Wednesday; off Thursday and Friday
- Please note, schedule is always susceptible to change
Compensation: Negotiable

Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of related experience working as a Private Chef
- Degree from an accredited Culinary School
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers
- A superb command of the English language, both written and oral
- Energetic, creative, and versatile
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Polish and poised
- Utmost sense of discretion and professionalism
- Flexible to work some weekends
- Ability to travel
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid US work authorization
- Must follow all CDC recommendations against Covid-19
