DRIVER/SECURITY FOR CHICAGO CEO - RELOCATION OFFERED

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer/Driver to ensure the safety and security of the Principal in Chicago, IL. This is an unarmed position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and/or law enforcement, and possess exceptional situational awareness and decision-making abilities.The position is based in Chicago, Illinois and may involve domestic and international travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Drive principal and guests (upon request) to and from general destinations, appointments, meetings, secondary residences, and airports
• When requested, accompany the principal to appointments, travel, events, and daily activities
• When required, conduct thorough advance planning to identify potential security threats and establish security protocols, including route planning, security sweeps, and emergency response procedures
• Monitor all environments for potential threats, suspicious activity, or individuals who may pose a risk to the client's safety
• Be prepared to respond to security incidents and emergencies, including medical emergencies, security breaches, or hostile encounters
• Maintain the vehicles for guest readiness and always look ready to drive without issue. Check engine fluids, maintain tire pressure and keep fuel levels at adequate level, and perform or hire a service to wash and interior detail vehicles
• Care of vehicles: Schedule maintenance, make service appointments, facilitate mechanical work as needed, secure substitute vehicles as needed to meet calendar obligations when vehicle is not available
• Safe and legal driving practices are always expected, as well as adhering to all state and federal driving laws and rules set by the principal
• Make real-time decisions and adjustments to any predetermined plan, route, or schedule based on risk assessment and surveying of surroundings
• Effectively interface with the principal on questions regarding safety and security
• Develop relationships with local law enforcement when appropriate
• Handle any additional tasks or errands as requested by the principal, demonstrating a "no task is too small" mentality
• Must pass a comprehensive background check including credit and criminal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role, respecting the privacy and security of the principal and family
• Proven experience as a protector and driver
• A valid unrestricted driver’s license
• A clean driving record
• Being trained and authorized to drive an armored vehicle is a plus
• Awareness of surveillance detection tactics and techniques is a plus
• First Aid, AED, and CPR Certification (EMT is a plus)
• Stop the Bleeding Training
• Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Training
• Knowledge of Chicago roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
• Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
• Ability to accommodate short notice requests and schedule changes
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm, rational behavior, and attitude under stressful driving situations (e.g. rush hour)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, hours TBD, some weekends and evenings will be needed
Salary: $150k plus benefits; Relocation may be offered
