Position Summary:
A lovely family based in Greenwich, CT, is looking for a Weekend Nanny for one pre-school aged child.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, has experience working with young children, and is a strong partner to the parents. The right individual is a team player, competent, hardworking, detail oriented, and communicates clearly. You should be kind, active, fun-loving, and adaptable.
Childcare Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture a connection with the child and provide care, warmth, and security.
- Drive the child to activities and appointments.
- Prepare fresh and healthy meals and snacks for the child and encourage healthy habits.
- Actively engage and communicate with the child, playing, singing, etc.
Household Responsibilities:
- Work as a team with the principal to ensure the family’s day runs smoothly.
- Assist with child-related housekeeping; tidying the play areas, cleaning up after snacks/meals, laundry, etc.
- Assist with the care of a small, well-trained dog.
- Run errands as requested.
Qualifications:
- Five plus years of experience in a similar role.
- First Aid and CPR Certified or willing to be certified and a strong swimmer.
- Outstanding references with related experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus.
- Long term intent
Schedule:
This is a full-time, year-round position on Saturdays and Sundays. The client will guarantee a minimum number of hours per weekend and weekends per year (specifics to be discussed with the right candidate). General hours are 8:30 – 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday with some flexibility requested. There may be opportunities for additional hours and days if that appeals to the candidate.
Compensation:
Compensation of $40-50/hour with benefits, depending on experience and qualifications.
