Seeking an experienced Housekeeper in Montuak, NY. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in high-end household operations. Candidates local to Montauk (within 30-minute drive) preferred. This is a 5 day weekend role throughout the summer and fall.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Organization:
- Daily cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing all areas).
- Maintaining cleanliness of all living spaces, bathrooms, and kitchens.
- Changing bed linens and organizing closets/drawers.
- Laundry care, including washing, ironing, and folding.
- Seasonal deep cleaning (windows, baseboards, appliances).
- Organizing storage areas, pantries, and household spaces.
Household Management:
- Monitoring and restocking household supplies.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair needs.
- Coordinating with service providers (landscapers, repair technicians).
- Assisting with packing/unpacking for travel and seasonal transitions.
- Handling delicate fabrics, antiques, and fine furniture.
Meal Service:
- Assisting with meal preparation and cleanup and serving meals.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires seasonal travel to multiple residences:
- Winter (Idaho) – 3–4 weeks (typically in two-week intervals).
- Winter (NYC) – 3–4 weeks for deep cleaning and organization (Monday–Friday schedule).
- Fall (Montauk) – 4-6 weeks (September/October), staying overnight Sunday–Thursday.
Work Schedule:
- April–November: Thursday–Monday (9 AM–5 PM), 40hrs weekly.
- December–April: Monday–Friday (9 AM–5 PM) 40hrs weekly.
