Live in or Live out Couple for Woodside Property & Husband and Wife
Our lovely client of many years is seeking a couple for their property ( 4 plus acres) and their large home in Woodside California. They are empty nesters now who have four adult children and a grandchild who enjoy visiting for holidays. Both employers are still very active with their work. At home they have a dog who enjoys daily walks and will need care when the couple travels to their other properties out of state. The household employs a loyal housekeeper who has worked for the family for many years.
Experience Requirements
3 or more years of experience working in a private home with great references
Educational Requirements
Fluency in English
Responsibilities
The ideal couple will take on a variety of responsibilities working as Property Managers and Cook- Personal Assistant
…1. Property Manager/ Handyman who is on site and can create a maintenance schedule for the grounds and buildings. The Property Manager should be able to do
simple maintenance and repair jobs for the buildings and grounds. They should be able to oversee trusted vendors for the bigger jobs such as painting of the home ,
annual gutter cleaning, etc. The employer has an excellent list of trusted vendors and the hired property manager will oversee the overall maintenance and management of both the grounds and the interior and exterior of the home
The role will include”
. Managing Vendors
. Running errands
. Pet care for the family dog including walking, vet appointments, and general care for the dog when the couple is not at home including staying overnight at the home
. Provide driving services as needed to the office or airport and appointments if requested
. Oversight of renovation projects and other properties as requested
. Some gardening by the Property manager could also be part of the role
…. 2. Cook/ Personal Assistant : Cooking is a big part of the role. The cook will prepare meals( mostly dinner) The cook should be able to prepare the dinners for the household weekly and serve and clean up .
The cook may be asked to pre-make and package some dinner meals for the couple to warm and up and eat on their own The couple seeks a cook who enjoys meal planning and can also assist with entertainment of 8 to 10 guests occasionally. The cook should become familiar with the food and eating preferences for the couple and guests and purchase and stock the pantry and refrigerator.

Personal Assistant: Assist the employer with office administration duties for the employers multiple non-profit endeavors
Compensation:
. Housing on site in Woodside .. 2 bedroom guest house on the property ( this is currently furnished but can be offered without furniture)
. Salary for each member of the couple commensurate with job responsibilities taken on. The range can be from $100,000 k to $130,000 annually for each member of the couple DOE
. Benefits to be discussed which will include Medical Insurance, Paid Vacation , Paid Holidays
If preference is to work as a live out couple , the couple should be available to sleep on property when the employer travels to other locations. The salary can be adjusted for a live out couple.
