A Seattle based team has an exciting new opportunity for a Culinary Coordinator. This role supports culinary department across all locations with administrative needs and is the main point of contact for the entire culinary team. The Culinary Coordinator is familiar with basic food prep, and service trained to be able to support and assist the Hospitality team during small to medium level service, as well as with larger events.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Travel with Chefs or independently as needed for meal service support and other needs
  • Liaise with all other departments regarding service and culinary needs and operations
  • Manage cleaning, and preventative Maintenance schedule for culinary equipment as well as schedule all break/fix with relevant team or contractor
  • Partner with the Executive Chef, and team to review and communicate menus and food preferences, and dietary restrictions.
  • Assist with culinary logistics, small errands, and shopping support
  • Assist Chefs in the kitchen with basic prep and meal service

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain recipe library and type/edit recipes as assigned by Chefs
  • Maintain Culinary team documents including recipes, preferences, hotel food tote lists, and SOPs
  • Capture and formalize all culinary SOP’s
  • Keep Culinary team updated on meeting times, deadlines, and corporate policy changes
  • Create meal plan outline and adjusting as needed on daily basis
  • Assist Executive Chef with P-cards as needed
  • Support culinary with budget and financial reporting
  • Manage and update database for culinary vendor contacts including capturing NDAs
  • Manage chef provisioning list for all visits
  • Assist Chefs with online ordering for main property and satellite properties
  • Create staff schedule under guidance of Executive Chef
  • Manage flight food menus, luggage manifest and serve as the primary liaison with Mente
  • Track Principal’s food and beverage requests for future reference
  • Take notes during Chef meetings and distribute minutes to the Chefs

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment
  • Food and Wine Knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

  • $40-$45 | hour, plus overtime
