Full-Time Nanny/Teenage Companion – NYC (Live-Out, Some Travel)
A discreet, UHNW family based in New York City is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny/teenage companion to support and mentor their two school-aged children (early teens). This role requires a calm, confident, and engaging individual who can provide structure and support, while also building a warm and respectful relationship with the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, mentorship, and supervision for two early teens
- School drop-off and pick-up
- Escort to and from extracurriculars, appointments, and social activities
- Help maintain a structured, balanced schedule and support with time management
- Create a positive, encouraging environment while setting appropriate boundaries
- Foster independence, responsibility, and good judgment
- Work collaboratively and professionally with a large, diverse household staff
- Communicate regularly and clearly with parents and team members
Schedule & Travel:
- Monday–Sunday, full-time hours, with 2 days off per week (live-out in NYC)
- Regular weekends at the family’s home in Connecticut (live-in during travel, accommodations provided)
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with pre-teens/teenagers in private homes
- Proven ability to build trust and rapport with older children while maintaining authority
- Strong sense of judgment, emotional intelligence, and discretion
- A positive, playful demeanor balanced with maturity and structure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility for travel and occasional extended hours
- Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license
Compensation:
- $45-$55 per hour, plus overtime over 40 hours per week
