A warm and dynamic family in Highland Park, IL is seeking an experienced and highly organized full-time house manager to help streamline and support the daily operations of their bustling household. With three children (ages 9, 6, and a newborn), three cats, and a friendly French Bulldog, this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
Location: Highland Park, IL
Children: Three – ages 9, 6, and newborn (primarily household management role)
Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found, ideally by August
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
Compensation: $90,000–$120,000+, based on experience
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation (house manager chooses one week), 5 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, annual discretionary bonus, and a healthcare stipend if needed
Live-Out: This is a live-out position

The household is energetic and full of moving parts. Both parents own businesses and work flexibly from home and offices, and sometimes travel for work. Their home includes three loving pets—three cats and a French Bulldog—so comfort around animals is essential. The family values open communication, collaboration, and high standards of professionalism. Dad is vegan, but there are no allergies or other restrictions in the home.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal house manager is a natural multitasker, highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a role where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll need to be tech-savvy, discreet, and have excellent communication and coordination skills. A “can-do” attitude, comfort overseeing staff and contractors, and confidence managing a busy calendar are key. A positive outlook, solution-focused mindset, and love for pets are essential for this long-term role.
Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day household operations with minimal direction

Run errands and maintain household inventory (groceries, supplies, etc.)

Organize seasonal clothing for children and maintain family calendar

Manage contractors and vendors; coordinate appointments and home projects

Help plan and implement dinner parties, charity events, and social gatherings

Schedule vet visits and manage general pet care logistics (light pet care duties required)

Sign children up for extracurricular activities and assist with logistics

Occasionally drive children as needed (car preferred; one can be provided if necessary)
Qualifications:
