Schedule

Flexible Hours, Wednesday–Sunday from early November through the end of April while Principals are in residence. Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm during the off-season when Principals are away.
Summer residence from July through Labor Day in the Hamptons; local accommodations provided.


Overview
An experienced and polished individual is sought for a live-out position supporting a private household. This role focuses on service delivery, daily implementation of interior protocols, and high-level upkeep of household standards.


Key Responsibilities

The Butler/Service Professional will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Formal and informal meal service, including plated and French-style table service

  • Maintaining impeccable organization and cleanliness of pantries and service areas; proper handling and storage of serviceware

  • Running errands and assisting with procurement as directed

  • Managing household inventory relevant to service and hospitality

  • Oversight of indoor plant and floral care to standard

  • Collaborating with fellow interior staff for heavier or shared duties

  • Assisting House Manager with organization and light housekeeping projects

  • Polishing and maintaining silver

  • Performing “Daily Graces” and turndown services, with adherence to established checklists and routines

  • Assisting with post-meal kitchen duties, including dishwashing, cookware cleaning, trash disposal, and floor maintenance

  • Answering phones and relaying messages professionally

  • Supporting care of a small dog (King Charles Cavalier): daily walks, feeding, brushing, weekly bathing, dental care, and medication

  • Coordinating occasional veterinary appointments


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a formal private household

  • Well-spoken, well-groomed, and comfortable liaising with Principals, guests, and household team

  • Team-oriented with a composed, solutions-focused approach

  • Sharp attention to detail and a willingness to complete tasks regardless of size or scope

  • Able to follow detailed checklists, household manuals, and service protocols precisely

  • Willingness to travel to the Hamptons during the summer season (housing provided)

  • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and sign an NDA

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
