An UHNW family is seeking a highly experienced live-in couple to oversee the full-time care, maintenance, and hospitality operations of their private residence in the Bahamas. This is a long-term opportunity for two professionals who can deliver resort-level service across both household and property management.
The home is used seasonally by the principals and their guests, but must be kept in immaculate condition year-round. The standard of care expected reflects that of a five-star luxury retreat. The successful couple will take full ownership of the property’s upkeep, ensuring it is always guest-ready and running smoothly at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Private Chef and Hospitality Lead
One half of the couple must be a confident and accomplished chef capable of delivering beautifully presented, restaurant-quality meals. This is not casual or basic home cooking. The family expects refined, health-conscious cuisine that reflects the style and execution found in top-tier hospitality settings.
Key responsibilities include:
• Creating high-level meals for daily dining as well as small-scale entertaining
• Managing the kitchen including hygiene, pantry organization, grocery procurement, and equipment care
• Adapting menus to suit dietary needs and preferences
• Coordinating guest arrivals and providing warm, attentive service
• Supporting events and dinner parties when in residence
• Managing day-to-day household presentation and overseeing cleaning standards where necessary
• Liaising with off-site estate manager and vendors
Property and Systems Manager
The second half of the couple will be responsible for the hands-on maintenance and technical operations of the property. This role requires a strong working knowledge of all residential systems and the ability to handle routine and unexpected repairs without relying entirely on outside help.
Key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining HVAC units, electrical systems, generators, pool and spa equipment, irrigation, and plumbing
• Overseeing and maintaining features such as the steam room, cold plunge, gym equipment, and home automation systems
• Managing vendor relationships and scheduling routine maintenance
• Providing beach setups, maintaining outdoor furniture, supporting occasional grilling or outdoor meals
• Supervising landscaping and participating in light gardening tasks when needed
• Ensuring vehicles and utility equipment are kept in top condition
• Handling basic handyman duties and responding to any urgent property needs
• Providing occasional support with pet care
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Proven experience working as a couple in a private estate, luxury home, or yacht setting
• Strong work ethic with a hands-on, flexible, and proactive approach
• Comfortable managing responsibilities independently while maintaining open communication with principals and remote team
• Fit, active, and prepared to manage a large property in a warm climate
• Discreet, professional, and respectful of privacy
• One or both individuals should hold or be willing to obtain First Aid certification
• Pet-friendly
Compensation and Benefits
• Annual salary of $120,000 to $170,000, depending on experience
• Private on-site accommodations provided
