A warm and welcoming young family moving from London to Washington, DC, with two children and a third on the way, is seeking a dedicated and experienced live-in individual or couple to join their household. The family values a supportive and harmonious environment and is looking for an individual or couple who can contribute positively to their home life. The role can be filled by one or two individuals, depending on the skillsets.
Job Summary: The live-in household individual(s) or couple will be responsible for comprehensive household management, including cleaning, laundry, nannying, and pet care, as well as oversight of vendors and other household projects as required. The role requires a high level of organization, reliability, and flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of the family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Household Management:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the family home.
- Perform regular housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry.
- Manage household supplies and inventory.
- Handle grocery shopping.
- Run errands and assist with family transportation needs
- Nannying:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for the children.
- Assist with homework and educational activities.
- Plan and supervise recreational activities and outings.
- Manage school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as extracurricular activities.
- Pet Care:
- Feed, walk, and care for the family’s friendly French Bulldog.
- Ensure the pet’s health and hygiene are maintained.
- Travel:
- Accompany the family to their holiday home in New York as part of the role.
- Opportunity to travel internationally with the family on holidays.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in household management, cooking, cleaning, and childcare.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously as part of a family unit.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Drivers License
- Ability to prepare balanced meals for the family
- Experience in a similar live-in role.
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French, Italian, and/or Spanish.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
