Executive Cook/Housekeeper

Job purpose:

The primary responsibility of this role will be to perform all meal preparation for the family. In addition, to manage, maintain, and clean private home and personal belongings, and render personal services to family members. 

Essential Functions:

The job duties and responsibilities of the position of Executive Household Staff include, but are not limited to:

• All meal preparation; including dinner parties, organizing the recipe books
• Set breakfast table
• Purchases or orders food and household supplies and records expenditures.
• Sorting and sending out linens and clothing to dry cleaners and inventories the items
• Puts away all Household laundry as per Owner’s instructions
• Answering phones and taking clear messages when chef not present
• Ability to handle household allowance and expense account
• Purchasing and setting the floral arrangements in the vases throughout the estate
• Takes care of owners personal spaces as needed
• Housekeeping duties as directed, such as cleaning the kitchen
• Deep cleaning as needed of the kitchen
• Pet care, feeding and grooming
• Other duties as assigned by the Owners or Estate Manager

Competencies and Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthy, plant forward, mediterranean diet
• Capable of using both domestic and commercial laundering equipment, pressing machines, and irons.
• Have a strong respect for and understanding of housekeeping management systems in order to maintain a meticulous and clean home.
• Have knowledge of cleaning and care for fine furnishings, valuables, and artwork and are comfortable working in a high end private service.
• Possess excellent English skills, professional demeanor and appearance
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Prompt, courteous, organized, well-groomed, honest, trustworthy
• Reliability and flexibility
• Availability as needed on a 24/7 basis.
• Residing on employer’s property for employer’s convenience is a condition of employment.
• Maintain a valid drivers license
