Full-Time Live-In Housekeeper - NYC/Hamptons

High-net-worth family seeking experienced live-in housekeeper for 6-story UES townhouse and Hamptons residence. Join our small existing staff team. Looking for a wonderful lady who has limited attachments and can do a bit of everything (clean, babysit, drive, light cooking, accept packages at the townhouse, meet with vendors for service, etc.) for a sweet family with one easy child and two adorable cats.

Key Responsibilities

Daily cleaning, organizing, and tidying throughout multi-level residence. Complete laundry management including washing, steaming, ironing, and care of delicate items. Assist with travel packing/unpacking and maintain high-end furnishings, antiques, and décor. Organize closets and office spaces while managing household supply inventory.

Prepare simple family-style meals and handle grocery shopping. Run errands as needed and provide pet care for cats and small dog. Work collaboratively with second housekeeper and occasionally serve dinner. Light childcare duties include occasional activity pickup and nighttime routine assistance for 8-year-old child.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years formal private household experience with high-net-worth families. Fluent English communication skills including texting capability. Must demonstrate discretion, attention to detail, and excellent listening abilities.

Seeking self-motivated, physically fit candidate comfortable navigating 6 flights of stairs daily. Tech-savvy skills required for smart-home controls, ride-sharing apps, and online grocery ordering. Must exhibit positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work independently while maintaining team mentality.

Additional requirements include Covid vaccination, valid driver's license with clean record, checkable references, and successful background check completion. International travel capability with valid passport preferred.

Dress Code & Appearance

Professional uniform required: white polo shirts with khaki or black pants. No visible tattoos permitted. Family provides uniform purchase compensation.

Schedule Details

School Year (September-June): Monday-Friday, various hours (depending on day might need help with breakfast, getting child to school and/or evening babysitting). Opportunity to live-in seven days is a possibility. Flexibility with schedule is key depending on families needs, week-to-week.

  • Summer Schedule: Live-in requirement 5 days weekly at Hamptons residence (Tuesday/Wednesday off in Summer).

Compensation Package

Competitive salary commensurate with experience plus annual performance bonus. Comprehensive health insurance coverage begins after first month of employment. Two weeks paid vacation annually.
