Live-in Household / Estate Manager (M/F) job offer in a private island, Caribbean 

 

A distinguished family with a private island in the Caribbean is seeking a Live-in Household Manager / Estate Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of multiple high-end properties located on the 34-hectare island, which hosts the owners, their families, guests, and VIP visitors.

This long-term position is ideal for a proactive, adaptable, and experienced professional looking to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless daily operation of the estate, combining hospitality excellence with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the right hand to the principal and ensure the overall upkeep and presentation of the island.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and support a multicultural team of approximately ten staff members across three main residences.
  • Oversee the daily operations and management of the properties and supporting facilities on the island.
  • Allocate responsibilities effectively to team members to maintain high standards of service for both the owners and VIP guests.
  • Personally welcome and host family members, guests, and clients, ensuring a premium experience aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
  • Manage procurement and supplies with careful consideration of the logistical constraints of island living.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, to ensure the estate runs efficiently.
  • Coordinate the care and feeding routines for animals residing on the island.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in luxury hospitality or private household management at a senior level.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Skilled in team management, particularly in multicultural environments.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation setting.
  • Fluent in English (required).
  • Discreet, professional, and respectful of privacy.

Work conditions

  • Job Location: Private Island near Grenada, Caribbean.
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Contract.
  • Accommodation: Provided (Live-in role).
  • Start Date: July or September 2025.
  • Salary: €4,000 net per month.
