Job Opportunity: Household/Family Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized, and energetic Household Manager (also known as Family Manager or Household Coordinator) to join our family and oversee the day-to-day operations of our home. This is a key leadership position, where the right candidate will be responsible for managing multiple households, household staff, travel arrangements, event planning, and much more. If you are a self-starter with excellent instincts, who thrives on anticipating needs and tackling challenges, we want to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Teamwork: Manage and oversee household staff, ensuring tasks are delegated efficiently and the team works harmoniously.
  • Travel Management: Coordinate travel plans including flights, accommodations, itineraries, and special requests for the family.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service and timely completion of tasks.
  • Party & Event Planning: Organize and execute events, parties, and gatherings, bringing creativity and excitement to every occasion.
  • Household Operations: Oversee daily operations of multiple homes, ensuring all needs are met from scheduling to maintenance to personal errands.
  • Communication: Serve as the point of contact for household staff, vendors, and the family, providing clear and timely communication.
  • Organization & Efficiency: Maintain household schedules, manage inventories, and ensure smooth operations by anticipating needs before they arise.
  • Discretion & Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding family matters and sensitive information.
  • Problem Solving: Approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset and take initiative in solving problems as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Household Manager, Family Manager, or in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience in managing household staff, vendors, and complex scheduling.
  • Strong background in technology, travel coordination, and household organization.
  • Ability to plan and execute events, large or small, with creativity and precision.
  • Discretion is a must: A background check will be required to ensure professionalism and trustworthiness.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
