Temporary Position: Certified Doula Needed In Westchester Mid May

A lovely family in Westchester (near LAX) is seeking a Certified Doula/NCS to support them for 4 weeks following the birth of their baby (due May 15, 2025). They also have a two-year-old and are looking for an experienced, calming presence at night so they can get some much-needed rest. This role will be covered by Carrot Insurance, so all applicants must meet Carrot Fertility’s strict requirements for reimbursement.

• Location: Westchester (Greater Los Angeles, CA – near LAX)
• Due Date: May 15, 2025
• Duration: 4 weeks
• Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 5 nights/week
• Hours: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Compensation: $40–$50/hour DOE

1. Certification:

• Must hold a current and valid certification from a recognized organization (CAPPA, DONA, BirthWorks International, ToLabor, ICEA, etc.)
• Proof of certification renewal required
• Inactive certifications will not be accepted

2. Training:

• Minimum of 24 hours of evidence-informed training in relevant areas, such as:
• Physiology of labor
• Labor doula training
• Antepartum and postpartum doula training
• Bereavement training

3. Experience:

• At least 15 hours of professional doula experience
• Must have supported at least three clients, including:
• Three births (at least two vaginal)
• At least one instance of antepartum and postpartum support

Additional Requirements:

• Must be fully vaccinated, including:
• TDAP
• MMR
• COVID
• Flu
• Experience with toddlers is a plus
