FULL-TIME RECEPTIONIST FOR TECH OFFICE, SILVERLAKE, CA (90029)

A Los Angeles based tech company is seeking a proactive and reliable Receptionist for their Silverlake office. The ideal candidate will be a local individual, who will act as the welcoming presence and operational frontline to the office while creating a comfortable, pleasant, efficient, and organized environment for team, and visitors alike. This position will play a key role in office upkeep, administrative tasks, and day to day management of the front desk and phones.

Duties include opening and closing the office daily, maintaining cleanliness and organization, inventory management, daily lunch orders, monitoring shared spaces, running occasional errands and assisting with office events.

The office has a relaxed, friendly environment and the candidate should be able to blend into this setting while still maintaining professionalism with a pro-active natural ability. 

 Responsibilities

  • Open and close the office daily, must be the first to arrive and the last to leave
  • Office organization, inventory and cleanliness
  • Restocking and tidying of kitchen area; prepare water, coffee, tea, and snacks throughout the day as needed
  • Track office supplies and replenish items proactively
  • Place daily lunch orders, assist with catering arrangements, and coordinate meal setups
  • Monitor and organize shared spaces, including meeting rooms, and assist with setting up and tidying after meetings
  • Assist with office events, parties, etc. as needed and at the direction of the Head of Executive Affairs and COO
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, clients, and vendors, greeting them professionally and directing them as needed
  • Manage phone calls and emails, handle inquiries
  • Maintain visitor logs and security procedures to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the office
  • Assist with light scheduling and coordination tasks as needed, such as booking conference rooms, coordinating with other teams for meeting setups, and scheduling meetings as requested
  • Ad hoc projects as requested

 Requirements

  • Proficiency with office software (Google Suite, Slack, etc.). Experienced with MAC required
  • Tech savvy
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Work independently, often without direct supervision
  • Attention to detail, time management skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring office efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Previous experience a receptionist (administrative or office manager role preferred)

 Location: Silverlake, CA 90029

Contract Length: Full-time. Three-month contractor trial (1099) with transition to full-time employee after 90 days, with 100% coverage of medical/dental and small match 401k plan. Free valet parking offered

 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, occasional after-hours work required

 Salary: $85 (DOE)
