A warm and organized family in Forest Hills is seeking a well-seasoned, dedicated Household Manager to support the seamless, day-to-day function of their home. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who brings a calm, capable presence and values the art of thoughtful service.
The family has a full-time housekeeper and a chef that comes once a week. The House Manager will play a key role in ensuring the home runs efficiently and that the family's day-to-day life is supported with care and professionalism.
The ideal candidate is:

- Decisive and resourceful, with excellent judgment skills in managing vendors and projects.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing daily household operations and property maintenance, with foresight and attention to seasonal needs.
- Exercising discernment in selecting, managing, and communicating with vendors and service providers.
- Taking initiative on small- and medium-scale projects around the home, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Running personal and household errands with care and discretion.
- Maintaining household supplies and organization systems (e.g., closets, pantries, seasonal items, inventories).
- Coordinating the family calendar, appointments, and occasional travel logistics.
- Providing safe, timely transportation for an 11-year-old child to and from school and activities.
- Light pet care, including walks and vet/grooming appointments. (dog & Cat)
- Collaborating with the full-time housekeeper and weekly chef to maintain a smooth household rhythm.
- Light Meal Prep: Assist with basic meal preparation, following recipes when necessary to ensure meals are ready for the family.
- Safe and responsible driver with a clean driving record and non smoker.
- Comfortable with occasional overnight care.
- Tech Savvy.
- NDA required.
You’ll work closely with the family to uphold a calm, well-functioning environment, acting as a point of continuity and trusted support throughout the week.
Please note: The household is gluten-free, and Principle B has an allergy to perfumes and fragrances. Candidates must be fragrance-free and willing to respect dietary sensitivities in the home.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 10:30am–6:30pm
Flexibility appreciated for occasional schedule shifts with notice
- 95K per year + $250 health insurance stipend.
- 2 weeks PTO.
