A warm and welcoming family in New London, NH, is seeking a Portuguese-speaking Household Assistant to help manage their home with care, discretion, and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in household management, meal preparation, errands, and occasional childcare support.

The position includes private live-in accommodations that are separate from the main home, ensuring comfort and privacy. The family is looking for a reliable and personable assistant who can integrate into their household while maintaining professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Household Management:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and garages.
• Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization.
• Oversee and restock household supplies (cleaning products, pantry items, etc.).
• Receive deliveries, open packages, put away items, and dispose of packaging materials.

2. Meal Preparation:

• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation as requested.
• Prepare snacks and beverages for the family and guests.

3. Errands and Shopping:

• Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning pickup, and post office trips.
• Purchase gifts or other household necessities as needed.

4. Childcare Support:

• Provide occasional childcare assistance as needed.
• Assist with school drop-offs/pickups or coordinating children’s activities.

5. Household Administration:

• Organize household schedules and calendars, including appointments and events.
• Handle mail, package deliveries, and basic correspondence.

Skills and Qualifications

• Native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese (English proficiency preferred but not required)

• Proven experience as a Household Assistant, Housekeeper, or similar role

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food safety
