Full-Time Housekeeper Wanted NYC
HNW family seeking a full-time live-out Housekeeper for a formal 6-story UES townhouse, and the Hamptons in the summer (live-in). You will be joining an existing staff and be expected to seamlessly maintain the family's residences. The housekeeper should be reliable, flexible, and responsive to the family’s needs while remaining professional and discreet.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
*Cleaning and Organizing
*Daily Tidying
*Laundry and wardrobe management (washing, steaming, ironing, special care items)
*Assist with packing/unpacking for travel
*Care and maintenance of high-end furnishings and expensive antiques and decor
*Organization of closets and home office spaces
*Ability to cook simple family style meals, including grocery shopping
*Inventory Management of household supplies
*Running other errands as needed
*Pet care (cats/small dog)
*Work alongside second housekeeper to complete tasks
*Occasional serving of meals
*Some child care (getting the child up in the morning, making breakfast, bringing them to the bus)
Requirements:
*3+ years of formal experience as a private housekeeper for a high-net worth family
*Proficient in English and able to communicate easily (including via text)
*Excellent listening skills, discreet, attention to details
*Self-starter, physically fit (able to easily go up/down 6 flights of stairs)
*Tech-savvy (able to operate smart-home controls, order Ubers, and groceries online)
*Positive thinker, proactive, observant, pleasant, able to work independently
*Team mentality, able to be flexible as needed
*Covid Vaccinated
*Uniform required (white polo, khaki or black pants; family will compensate for purchasing)
*Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
*Ability to travel both domestic and internationally a plus (valid passport)
*Must have checkable references
*Must pass background check
Schedule:
School Year Schedule (September to June, Live-Out) – Monday through Friday, 6:30AM – 2:30PM
Summer Schedule (July and August, Live-In) – Days TBD, 7:30AM – 8:00PM (with a long mid-day break)
