House Manager - April start time

Club One Concierge, Austin’s only house manager company,  has an opening for a multi-tasking, flexible, organized and self-starting individual to serve as a House Manager for one of its central Austin clients. This role offers a 30-day compensated shadow training in April for a May 1 start date. 

This position will be responsible for managing a blend of property management and personal assistant duties within the client’s home. You will serve as the main point of contact on the property for vendors, guests, client requests and will be viewed as a Servant/Leader in the home. Candidates must possess at least five consecutive years’ direct experience as a house manager or similar, a great attitude and stellar references. Flexibility in your schedule is paramount, as working hours will change when the client is/is not in residence.

Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 9am-3pm, with an occasional weekend or evening as needed. Some travel may be required. 

Responsibilities: 

• Function as “Chief of Staff” and own all operations of property and life management to ensure client comfort
• Proactively schedule home maintenance, manage all vendors on property and check for quality assurance 
• Collaborate with all private staff including other house manager, housekeeper and pilot
• All errands, returns, shopping, appointments and shipping
• Tech savvy - upkeep of house manual and managing all client data in various applications, as well as client calendar management
• Coordinate vehicle and boat maintenance, registration, detail and fuel 
• Partnership with vendors to provide project management across multiple properties
• Pet management expected for dog and cat: vet, pet sitting, travel visas, grooming and general care
• Accepting all deliveries – opening, distributing, notifying, breaking down boxes
• Manage and provide direction to full-time Housekeeper and preparing house for client arrival and departures and ensuring it looks like a hotel on a daily basis conforming to household standards 
• Documentation of inventory for local residence and multiple storage units

Qualifications: 

• Ability to work independently yet, effectively communicate, contribute and collaborate in a team environment. 
• Highly organized, overly responsible, excellent time management, servant/leader mentality
• Self starter who can work independently and make things happen quickly. 
• Ability to maintain discretion (confidentiality agreement is required)
• Professional presentation and ability to handle responsibilities with ease and calm demeanor. A great sense of humor. 
• Comfortable making decisions and acting in the best interest of the client without much direction or feedback

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree 
• A minimum of five years of professional experience with no gaps in employment (unless you’re a mom rejoining the workforce!). Seeking long term commitment (e.g., 5+ years)
• Ability to complete extensive background checks
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance
• Must be a US citizen and lived in Austin for at least five years
• Experience with HNW families a huge advantage, but not required
• Overly responsible and trustworthy
• Loves to learn about and apply knowledge to construction projects, home operations and all things high-end lifestyle management encompasses
• Physically active with ability to lift up to 50lbs and daily walk and inspection of the 14-acre property
