Live-in helper and estate manager for a busy technology and business executive single dad to 16 year old son. Start date May/June 2025
Job duties and responsibilities:
Manage and run household tasks, provide support for son’s care and activities, and other miscellaneous estate & household tasks.
-Supervise cleaning crew weekly, house services and contractors
-Personal errands such as car service, car wash, pantry management, miscellaneous household errands & help
-Prepare dinner 4-5 times a week, quick breakfast/lunches when needed, some (rare) house laundry (towels, etc), daily upkeep of common areas spotless and tidy (including kitchen and countertops).
-Assist with house projects (decor updates, help search for furniture, art or services).
-Knowledge to maintain high end surfaces (marble, stone) and high end furniture
-Flexibility in schedule is essential as hours may shift depending on dad’s schedule and work travel. Typical weekends are Saturday evening through Monday. Weekday schedule varies (2-3 times per week morning drop off and afternoon pick up, then dinner prep/clean up)
-Organizational skills and juggling tasks on a daily basis, proactive approach and close coordination with dad
-Teenage son (16 year old) activities scheduling and logistics (driving, etc). Schedule and logistics of other tasks (doctor/dentist appointments, logistics for social engagements etc). Car is provided for household tasks
-Companionship for teenager when dad out/traveling, engagement and guidance on extracurricular activities (music, arts, etc)
-Dad is absolutely and obsessively meticulous in daily tidiness and cleanliness, especially in common areas.
-Gardeners, pool maintenance and house cleaning crew come to the property once per week. Periodic contractor for house maintenance, tasks, etc
-Absolute discretion and privacy for the family
-This is a full time live-in position
-This position is expected to last at least two years, in increments of annual commitment and renewal review
-Experience in a similar role required. References and clean record required (including driving record). Employer can provide reference from current employee in this role (she finished school during her time with the family and planning to change careers at the end of this school year)
