The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the service, management and hospitality operations of all residential properties.
The Vice President of Operations reports to the Chief Executive Officer but has significant interaction with the Principal.
Duties/Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Maintaining and developing and a culture for five-star service at property locations, including the oversite and training of team members.
- Must exhibit the highest level of service with rigorous attention to detail, an “above and beyond” attitude, and prudent judgement to solve challenges in an expedient manner.
- Hold regular weekly meetings with residential teams to share information and seek feedback.
- Implementing effective internal controls to set up and continuously improve the management of operations and procurement of goods and services while identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Directing the procurement of household goods and services ensuring supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and of the highest quality.
- Planning and directing maintenance, construction, and other household work and act as Owners Representative.
- Managing security resources and vendors.
- Establishing relevant performance goals and objectives for all team members, including training to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team.
- Evaluates each direct report’s performance and makes recommendations for their improvement.
- Inspects the operation(s) on a regular basis to ensure that the established quality standards are maintained.
- Additional project management assignments as required based on business needs.
- Proactively take action to achieve the Principal’s and Family Office’s goals.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Highly professional, respectful, and comfortable dealing with a range of individuals from domestic staff to ultra-high net-worth investors.]
- At least eight (8) years of expertise in operational excellence and high-touch service is required.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience in a more entrepreneurial, less structured environment is essential.
- Strong problem-solving and project-management skills are also crucial.
- The candidate will need to be a consummate team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills across the organization.
- Must be able to withstand pressure and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, every changing environment.
