We are seeking an experienced and talented part-time Chef. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the food production and ensuring the highest quality of culinary offerings.
Duties:
-Plan and create menus that meet the needs and preference of principal
-Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation
-Monitor food production to ensure consistency in taste, texture and apperance
-Colloborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing menu items
Schedule will be as follows:
-Week 1 - Monday & Thursday for In-Home Meals for the week and Leave Behind Dinners
-Week 2 - Monday & Thursday for In-Home Meals for the week (including live Dinner) and leave behind for the other meals.
Opportunity for an extra few evenings a month depending on schedule.
Estimated Hours = 16-20 hours per week
Principal travels frequently and there will be weeks where service will not be needed, but minimum hours will be maintained.
Experience:
-Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment
-Strong knowledge of food service operations, including cooking techniques, food production, and menu planning.
Skills:
-Cook: Proficiency in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.
-Food Industry : Understanding of the culinary industry trends, standards, and best practices.
-Management : Familiarity customer service, and guest satisfaction.
-Food Production : Knowledge of food preparation techniques, portion control, and quality standards.
-Culinary: Strong culinary skills and creativity in developing new recipes and menu items.
-Food Safety: Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices to maintain safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
