House Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and forward-thinking House Assistant to become an integral part of our team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless operation of a large private estate while delivering outstanding support to the principal and household. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, contribute innovative ideas, and find ways to elevate the organization and functionality of household spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Organization: Maintain household inventory, restock supplies, and ensure all spaces are highly organized, functional, and optimized.
  • Checklists & Record Keeping: Develop and manage detailed checklists and logs for household tasks, inventory, and purchases.
  • Mail, Packages & Returns: Handle all mail, returns, and deliveries efficiently for the principal and team.
  • Purchasing: Oversee household procurement, including certain foods and beverages, supplies, and personal orders for the principal or team members.
  • Tech Support: Set up and troubleshoot TV/computer logins, Zoom calls, and minor technical issues for the principal or team.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Book appointments, calendar management, and coordinate vendors and service providers upon arrival.
  • Guest Services: Greet guests, prepare and arrange beverages or snacks, and ensure a welcoming and polished environment.
  • Table Arrangements & Events: Assist with table settings and arrangements, and small event preparations.
  • Elevating Spaces: Proactively assess household areas to enhance functionality and aesthetics, contributing ideas to maintain an elevated standard of living.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within a private residence or luxury setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating smart home systems and video conferencing platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, discretion, and professional etiquette.
  • A creative eye for improving spaces and experience with table settings or event preparation is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Background checks and references required.
