Lovely, mature principal is seeking a professional live-out Housekeeper/Cook for her Tenafly, NJ home. Responsibilities include housekeeping, laundry, maintaining an organized and tidy home, running errands, grocery shopping, and cooking simple meals for one principal. Other tasks include assisting with table setting, watering plants, and providing pet care (feeding and walking a small dog) as needed. Must be very animal-friendly, as there are chickens on the property, and you may be asked to assist with one that is being nursed back to health. A valid driver’s license is required, and the candidate should be comfortable driving; a car will be provided for work-related errands only. Candidate will also be expected to travel occasionally (approximately three times per year) to assist at a second property. The ideal candidate is flexible with scheduling and job responsibilities, takes initiative, and has a positive demeanor. Must have a strong command of English, discretion, reliability, trustworthiness, and organizational skills. Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 8am – 5pm about 40hrs per week, with flexibility for extra hours as needed, especially around holidays.
