Private Chef (Occasional) – Santa Barbara, CA

Location: Goleta, Santa Barbara
Dates: April 4-10 (initial booking) + ongoing (~every 2 months) Rate: $800-$1000/day DOE

About the Role

A private family seeks an experienced chef for occasional meal preparation at their Santa Barbara property. This is not a full-time role but a recurring opportunity, roughly one week every two months.

Responsibilities:

  • ?  Lunch&DinnerPrep:Dailylunchdrop-offat11:00-11:30AManddinner service at 5:30 PM (buffet style).

  • ?  Meal Cleanup: Handle kitchen cleanup after dinner or coordinate with housekeeping.

  • ?  High-Quality Ingredients: Organic, farm-to-table meals with a focus on Mediterranean, Asian, and CA-style cuisine.

  • ?  Dietary Considerations:

    • ?  No mushrooms (except foraged), bell peppers, eggplant, or

      high-lactose dairy (raw dairy only).

    • ?  No spinach, Swiss chard, or collard greens for one family member.

    • ?  No Teflon, plastic, microwaves, or foil in cooking or storage.

    • ?  Preferred: Grass-fed/finished meats, non-farmed/low-mercury

      fish, regenerative organic produce, ghee/raw butter, and low-sodium tamari.

? Meals should include proteins, light carbs/grains, vegetables, soups, fresh juices, and homemade bone broth.

Ideal Candidate:

  • ?  Professional chef with experience in organic, farm-to-table cuisine.

  • ?  Comfortable working with specific dietary needs and ingredient

    preferences.

  • ?  Reliable and flexible, able to adapt to the family’s schedule.

  • ?  Familiar with sourcing high-quality, organic ingredients.
