Private family seeks a dedicated, experienced, and hands-on House Manager to oversee the daily operations, upkeep, and staff management of a private residence. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who leads by example, maintains a can-do attitude, and is equally comfortable behind the scenes as they are rolling up their sleeves to support the household team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all aspects of the residence
• Provide day-to-day support and hands-on guidance to household staff, fostering a collaborative and high-functioning environment. Step in and assist with household tasks as needed, including: general housekeeping, laundry care, and maintaining a tidy and organized closets, storage areas, and living space.
• Coordinate event planning for special events and functions
• Provide attentive pet care (dogs), including but not limited to coordinating daycare transportation/walkers, feeding, administering medication, etc.
• Be the main point of contact for property and all staff-related matters
• Ensure property maintenance routine services/maintenance and being performed as contracted and completed in time for the appropriate season
• Develop new and enhance existing processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure vendors and expenses are paid accordingly
• Manage scheduling for household staff
• Build and maintain relationships, negotiate and supervise vendors and contractors
Requirements:
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a property or Estate Manager
• Must be experienced in all areas of household management, including housekeeping, vendor management, event planning, laundry, and cooking as needed
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have advanced computer skills, including Excel, etc.
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days on site. Flexibility with the weekly schedule is needed, and may need to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Salary: $160K - 200K per year
