Full-time Live-in Housekeeper (M/F) job offer in Nevada with travel to California

Our esteemed clients in Nevada are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join their household and provide exceptional care. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a strong background in luxury housekeeping, excelling in meticulous cleaning, laundry management, and efcient household support.

This long-term, live-in position requires a proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining an impeccably organized and fragrance-free home environment. Flexibility, discretion, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this role, as well as the ability to adapt to a schedule that includes afternoon and evening hours. Travel to California for a portion of the year is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying, to uphold a clean and welcoming home.
  • Maintain a well-organized and meticulously cared-for living environment.
  • Conduct deep cleaning of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture, surfaces, and fixtures to preserve their condition and appearance.
  • Sanitize kitchen appliances, countertops, and sinks to ensure a hygienic  cooking space.
  • Deep-clean and disinfect bathrooms, including showers, tubs, sinks, and toilets.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to maintain a spotless home.
  • Change bed linens and make beds to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
  • Empty trash bins and manage proper waste disposal.
  • Keep household items neatly stored and free from clutter.
  • Handle all laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
  • Organize and maintain wardrobe spaces, ensuring proper care for delicate and special-care fabrics.
  • Coordinate dry-cleaning drop-offs and pickups when needed.
  • Occasionally prepare simple meals such as breakfast and lunch.
  • Manage grocery shopping and ensure household supplies are consistently stocked.
  • Run occasional errands, including handling packages, UPS drop-offs, and dry-cleaning pickups.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of housekeeping experience in a private, high-end household.
  • Must not use Febreze, Gain, lavender, or cedar-based products.
  • Must not have been exposed to Febreze or Gain in the past year, whether in their own home or at a previous workplace.
  • Strong knowledge of deep cleaning techniques, proper care for luxury surfaces and materials, and household organization.
  • Exceptional eye for cleanliness, organization, and maintaining a polished home environment.
  • Proficiency in washing, ironing, folding, and caring for delicate fabrics, as well as organizing and maintaining wardrobes.
  • Ability to adjust work routines based on the principal’s presence, with flexibility in scheduling when needed.
  • Must be trustworthy, discreet, and capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively with the principal, and ensure household needs are met efficiently.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and commitment to long-term employment.
  • Wear provided uniform and only wash in the employer’s home.
  • Must have a positive, energetic attitude.

Work conditions

  • Title of position: Housekeeper.
  • Position to be filled: ASAP.
  • Workplace: Nevada & California.
  • Employment contract: Permanent.
  • Work schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. Flexibility with days and times as needed.
