Location: Potomac, MD
Schedule: Monday/Wednesday11:30am - 6:30pm; Thursdays 11:30 - 7pm; Tuesday/Friday 12:30pm - 6:30pm. (Total of 33.5 hours/week)
Rate: $30/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a trustworthy and dependable Nanny/Housekeeper to join our family and help care for our two daughters, ages 3 and 6. The ideal candidate will be warm, loving, and firm, with a high-energy, imaginative approach to childcare. Organization and adaptability are key, as our family adjusts to a busy schedule and works through unpacking from a recent move.
Key Responsibilities:

Childcare:
- Pick up the 3-year-old from preschool at 12:30 PM (2 days/week).
- Engage both children in creative, imaginative play (e.g., coloring, dancing, building forts) and minimize screen time.
- Supervise and assist with daily tasks, such as making beds and organizing toys, while fostering independence in the children.
- Walk the family dog as part of the afternoon routine.
- Pick up the 6-year-old from the bus stop across the street at 3:45 PM and drive to after-school activities as needed.
- Administer the older daughter's nightly inhaler and maintain vigilance to ensure it is not forgoetten.
- Assist with bath time at 6 PM while mom prepares dinner.

Housekeeping:
- Tidy and organize the home, focusing on tasks such as laundry, straightening up, and unpacking remaining boxes.
- Maintain an efficient schedule to complete light housekeeping tasks before picking up the children.
- Take the initiative in maintaining a clean and organized environment, involving the children in simple, age-appropriate chores.

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for driving to activities.
- Ability to manage household tasks without getting distracted.
- Comfortable with pets and able to walk the family dog.
- Experience with young children and a proactive, initiative driven mindset.
