Full-time Junior House Manager (M/F) job offer in Toronto, Canada 

An established private household in Toronto,Canada is seeking a capable, proactive, and service-oriented Junior House Manager to support the smooth daily operations of a sophisticated residence.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative in a dynamic household environment. This role replaces a previous Executive Housekeeper position and is ideal for someone who combines a practical mindset with strong household management skills. While advanced cooking is not required, the ability to step in and support the kitchen when the chef is away is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in daily housekeeping of key living areas (kitchen, bathrooms, master suite, etc.).
  • Maintain patios and outdoor furniture on a seasonal basis.
  • Ensure home security protocols are followed and manage parcels/deliveries.
  • Liaise with service providers, trades, and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Manage inventories (household supplies, linens, pantry, etc.).
  • Be responsible for the upkeep of all household manuals.
  • Assist with table setting, hosting, and entertaining.
  • Conduct evening turndown service.
  • Perform deep cleaning and care for fine items such as china and silver.
  • Run errands and assist with various ad hoc tasks.
  • Provide support in the kitchen when the chef is away.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a private household or similar environment.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong sense of discretion, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Computer literacy for inventory and scheduling.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Experience with formal service, table setting, and events is an asset.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Ontario driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Work conditions

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm, with occasional weekend or evening support as needed (paid overtime).
