A family in Pasadena is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nanny to provide engaging, structured learning experiences for their four young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, a passion for child development, and the ability to create a stimulating and enriching environment.  There is a tutor who comes to the home, you will be responsible for assisting in school projects, this role includes light household assistance to ensure an organized and smooth-running home. The family values a professional who is nurturing, proactive, and adaptable.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities to support learning and development
• Provide homework assistance and enrichment in core subjects
• Encourage curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning, arts, and STEM-based activities
• Foster a love for reading through engaging literacy activities
• Household & childcare assistance
• Prepare and serve healthy meals for the children.
• Assist with school pick-ups/drop-offs and extracurricular activities (vehicle provided)
• Help maintain an organized learning environment and play areas
• Support household organization, including some laundry, tidying common areas, and occasional errands
• Assist with planning special family events, activities, and celebrations

This is a full-time position:

• Monday-Friday
• 10:30 am- 7 pm
• Flexibility to work weekends when needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required (Education, Child Development, or related field preferred)
• Minimum two years of experience as an educator, tutor, or in a similar teaching role
• Live within a 30-minute commute to Pasadena
• Willingness to provide occasional weekend support such as weddings, date nights, and other family occasions
• Willingness to travel locally with the family (typically to Palm Desert and Newport Beach) on school breaks
• Comfortable around pets (the family has 2 dogs).
• Excellent driving record (vehicle provided for job-related tasks)
• Must have experience working with a family with three or more children
• Flexibility on schedule changes
• Available to work weekends, likely not every weekend, but must be available should the family need to attend the occasional event
• Must have a good command of English, both written and spoken
• Physically able to keep up with kids and go up and down stairs (multi-level home), carry a child, etc.
• Candidate must be always polished and professional
• Must pass a thorough in-depth background investigation
