CHEF - ATHERTON, CA (flexible to travel)
This busy high-profile couple requires a creative skilled Chef with a passion for preparing beautiful meals for them when they are in-residence at their Atherton home. They are looking for an attentive and discerning professional with a minimal 10 years at the executive chef level in coveted hotels or restaurants and 5 years as private chef. They entertain at an elevated level and are particularly fond of French Nouvelle cuisine ~ clean, fresh, beautifully plated and nutrient/flavor dense.
Their intent is to have their professional live in the general vicinity of nothing more than a 45-minute commute, so you are able to enjoy your own personal “quality of life” and not have to commute so extensively. The true plus within this role is that the principals utilize the residence for a few months out of the year. During the down time they require appliance maintenance and deep cleaning of appliances, pantry and overhaul of ensuring all items are cared for and in optimal order. This is a time of taking stock and ensuring you are fully prepared for the busy time when they are in residence. They do ask that you travel with them on occasion to Arizona.
The job duties will include preparing meals for the two principals and their guests, stocking and placing grocery and supply orders, and working closely with the butler team. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and with a large culinary team. Must have a teamwork mindset and be humble and easy to get along with others in the fully staffed kitchen and home.
Looking for a bona fide professional who leads with a service heart, loves what they do, fully engaged at an elevated luxurious level of exquisite provisioning, top level creativity and variations on the daily menu and being a real stickler for quality. This is a lovely role, a superb gentle husband and wife who entertain beautifully and requires a top professional to complement their culinary preferences.
