Executive Housekeeper (with Laundry Responsibilities)

Location: Santa Monica

Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday

Compensation: Salary + PTO

Position Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of a high-end private residence with an emphasis on discretion, attention to detail, and proactive service. This role includes comprehensive laundry and wardrobe care, ensuring garments and linens are cleaned, pressed, and stored to the highest standards. Must be dog friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning of all rooms, surfaces, and furnishings using appropriate products and techniques
• Manage all laundry duties, including washing, stain treatment, ironing, steaming, folding, mending, and organizing clothes and linens
• Provide wardrobe management: organizing closets, rotating seasonal clothing, and ensuring garments are properly stored and presented
• Maintain high standards in guest rooms and bathrooms with an emphasis on presentation and hygiene
• Maintain inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies; notify Estate Manager of low stock
• Handle specialty items including fine linens, delicates, couture garments, and designer pieces with care
• Coordinate with other household staff to ensure seamless service
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Maintain discretion and privacy at all times

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar high-end domestic housekeeping role
• Expertise in laundry care, fabric handling, and wardrobe maintenance
• Strong knowledge of fine home care, including luxury surfaces, finishes, and textiles
• Highly organized, efficient, and proactive with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to the preferences of the principals
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of confidentiality
• Flexibility with schedule occasionally for entertaining
• Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks (bending, lifting, standing for long periods)
• Valid driver’s license preferred; background check/drug testing will be attained.
