Silver and bow are looking for a dedicated and responsible full-time Dog walker to join the team in Manhattan, responsible for the daily care, walking, feeding, and general well-being of the household dogs; a husky and mixed breed. The role requires someone who is passionate about animals, detail-oriented, professional and well-presented, able to adhere to a structured routine while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and care. Professionalism and reliability are the most important attributes for this job, ensuring that at all times the dogs are well cared for and the owner feels comfortable leaving them in your care.
This is a great role for someone looking for good work/life balance. Actual working hours during the day are 4 hours, as staff are free to leave in- between walks and do as they wish with their day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the dog's overall health, safety, and happiness at all times
- Maintain a strict routine for feeding, walking, grooming, and other daily care (to the minute)
- Administer any required medications or supplements as directed by a veterinarian
- Provide multiple daily walks, tailored to the dog’s energy level and specific needs
- Ensure that the dog receives sufficient exercise, stimulation, and socialization
- Regularly groom the dog, including brushing, cleaning paws, and bathing as needed
Requirements for the position:
- Proven experience in animal care, particularly with dogs
- Maintain a consistent routine and adapt to changes requested by the Principal
- Physically fit to handle long walks and physically care for the dog
- Strong communication skills to liaise with household staff and management
- Ability to work flexible hours, including rare evening duties
- Reliability, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:45 am – 8:30 pm
Some flexibility may be required for occasional late evening or weekend work.
