Position Overview:

A young, successful private family is seeking an experienced and highly organized Live-in House Manager to oversee the daily operations of their primary residence in Watch Hill, RI. The household includes two parents, four young adult children, and multiple pets.

The ideal candidate will bring formal white-glove service experience, a strong background in staff supervision, and a proactive, hands-on approach to managing a large estate. This role requires exceptional communication, discretion, and the ability to ensure a well-run and welcoming home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily household operations and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient environment
  • Supervise and schedule household staff, ensuring high standards are met across all areas
  • Provide formal white-glove service for the family and guests, including occasional event support
  • Plan and coordinate household events and liaise with vendors as needed
  • Manage household budgets, expenses, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate property maintenance and ensure timely repairs and upkeep
  • Assist with personal tasks, including scheduling, travel planning, and calendar management
  • Oversee pet care needs, including appointments, feeding schedules, and general well-being
  • Monitor household security and coordinate with security personnel when necessary

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a private household
  • Proven experience managing a household staff
  • Background in formal white-glove service
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)
  • Flexible and adaptable to the family’s needs and schedule
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Pet-friendly with prior experience managing pet care
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to live on property and be available as needed
  • Valid U.S. work authorization
